God: has a payday for each of us…
2 King 4:13 (KJV) “And he said to Gehazi his servant, Call this Shunammite. And when he had called her, she stood before him.And he said unto him, Say now unto her, Behold, thou hast been careful for us with all this care; what is to be done for thee? wouldest thou be spoken for to the king, or to the captain of the host? And she answered, I dwell among mine own people”.
In this life there is always a period of reckoning or a time when we will be rewarded for everything we do; if we are charitable in nature then we will be paid accordingly as we stand before the one who is able to pay us back for what we have done.
Alternatively, if we are consistent sinners and poor in spirit to each other and humanity, then we get the reward of our works. As we read the story of this woman of faith, it didn’t take much for her to reach out to this man of God who she might not have been aware could bless her as he did, but she poured into him and gave as she was able to accommodate his needs.
As demonstrated in the acts of restitution as bestowed upon her by the man of God, when you are transparent in your giving, then your reward becomes equally transparent. This isn’t an appeal to be senseless in giving, but as much as possible, what comes out of your hand will return in measures and manners and by folks you don’t know.
God has a way of doing His calculations that makes us blush, because He turns up the heat in the giving arena, we simple are unable to comprehend how he does it, the requirement is that we give altruistically.
All good and perfect things comes from the Father above who blesses without any variable of turning; meaning that as He plans to bless me for my works, then you will also gain what you reap. Love the body of Christ and those outside as God gives you utterance.
