God: is still a man of war….
Daniel 2:14-15 (KJV) “Then Daniel answered with counsel and wisdom to Arioch the captain of the king’s guard, which was gone forth to slay the wise men of Babylon: He answered and said to Arioch the king’s captain, Why is the decree so hasty from the king? Then Arioch made the thing known to Daniel”.
Sometimes we go through attacks in the physical realm when the orchestration is behind the scenes or in the spiritual arena. Things might be occurring right before our face and we are dealing with the here and now situation when in actuality there are entities yanking our chain which our eyes cannot see (Ephesians 6:12.KJV).
The manifestation of ugliness ought to propel us to be calm when we face controversies and allow us to resort to praying deeply in the spiritual realm. The attacks are good in a sense because it allows us to know that God will not bring us to a place and leave us defenseless.
We see this in the reading today when stupefying favor is bestowed upon this man of God when his life is threatened and he comes within hours of being put to death. How does he deal with the situation? He deals with it in a calm manner and identifies the facets of the situation and the source; he then does the only thing that can neutralize the situation: go into deep prayers and supplication before the real and true King.
Within hours, the situation is resolved and he is promoted in the physical realm and the battle is fought and demolished in the spiritual; which is an added bonus when we allow our battles to be dealt with by God instead of doing them ourselves.
There are a couple questions we need to ask ourselves today: who is fighting our battles for us and who are we fighting against when we come under attack. If you can identify the answers then the battle is already won in Jesus name.
