God: has a master plan….
Hebrews 3:13-14 (KJV) “But exhort one another daily, while it is called Today; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin. For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence stedfast unto the end”;
We go about living each day not knowing precisely what tomorrow brings, but we have an expectation and hope that it will be granted to us and that we will continue to pursue life and that it will somehow be better than today.
It is not guaranteed to us, but that hope in something tells us that life will continue and we will see tomorrow in all its glory; and as we live, it is our duty to support and encourage each other and this has nothing to do with the body of Christ, but we as humans have an obligation to be caring and concerned especially when we see things operating out of the norm with fellow human beings as much as we are able.
This is not the case or standard method of operation in all instances, but it is how it ought to be. Now in the body of Christ, there is an intensified aspect of what was just described and being our brother’s keeper is taken to a different level. Sin and wrong living is identified and addressed with the spirit of love so that we are aware of where we are and to increase our sensitivity to our calling in Christ.
When we are not accountable to anyone or anything, then everyone starts to do what is right in their own eyes; this is a situation which causes the Spirit of God to groan. There are those for whom it is an impossible task to correct in love or out of love; any form of correction is a cause of grievance and it is only God’s grace which can bring about any solace.
But the aim of this race is to endure to the end and if it takes correction from members of the body of Christ each step of the way, to ensure that we make it to the end, there ought to be no harm then, right? However, if we are concerned with the immediacy of situations and get easily offended when showed a more excellent way, then there is more work to be done.
My friend, correction might not come in the meek and mild manner we want it to, but let us strive to look at the message instead of the messenger or the mannerism of the one bringing the message because we as humans will for the most part, find fault with things used to point out the errors of our way.
