God: is open to real relationships….
Isaiah 12: 2-6 (KJV) “Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid: for the Lord Jehovah is my strength and my song; he also is become my salvation.
Therefore with joy shall ye draw water out of the wells of salvation.
And in that day shall ye say, Praise the Lord, call upon his name, declare his doings among the people, make mention that his name is exalted.
Sing unto the Lord; for he hath done excellent things: this is known in all the earth.
Cry out and shout, thou inhabitant of Zion: for great is the Holy One of Israel in the midst of thee”.
At one point you knew the man called Christ Jesus as a fable; you heard about Him, there were those who spoke about Him and what He did for them and you paid attention, but your interest wasn’t engaged. You probably were in amazement at some of the things you heard or saw, but it never moved you to the point of attracting your heart strings.
You prayed casually to a God who was up there somewhere; you talked to Him but the conversation was mainly one way, no interaction; but then a day, you were just there thinking of all that was going on in your life and you thought on Him and He spoke to your heart: ahhaaa moment. You recognize the words and they didn’t come from you, who is it?
He identifies Himself and you know that from that moment He ceases to be the God your mother, father, aunty, and pastor, whoever in your life prayed; He had become real to you and had revealed Himself to you. The relationship starts and He is become your salvation; you now know someone you can trust and depend upon.
Where you were struggling before in certain areas, the things look different, your perspective of things are seen through His eyes, you are leaning on His strength, He has become you strength; there is a place you can go to when you are down, feeling as if the world is conspiring against you.
The confusion you felt previously comes against a force to be reckon with and you know intuitively that this must be what caused those other people who you knew to be so joyous: you now have it.
Isn’t it precious to know the Lord Jesus Christ and have Him become real to you? Beloved, try Jesus and let Him be your salvation today; it shall be well.
