God: created the terms….
Luke 09:23 (KJV) “And He said to them all, if any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me”.
Many will tell you there is no prize with salvation and that it is free and of a truth it is free in terms of buying and selling the things of this world, it is priceless. Yet when counting value, it is an exchange of one life for another.
Some people have gained extended lives in this world by choosing salvation over this world’s charms, because if they had stayed a moment longer doing the things they were engaged in, their lives would have been cut short and I speak about it for I am one.
In the words of that man Jesus Christ, the ruler and supreme King of this world, “IF (my emphasis) any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me”. He gave us the offer, and it is up to us to accept or choose not to; we are not forced, coerced or strong-handed into accepting salvation, so the prudent decision is “if” you accept, do it with a willing mind and a heart not subject to change or being unstable.
The thing is, when you take up the challenge, there will be hairy moments, but you have to deal with it; things will happen to cause you to want to lose your religion, but keep pressing there is a prize to be won and a crown to be gained.
Beloved, the race is not for the swift, but those who endure to the end, so when you come, do so with a made up mind.
