What’d it take to set you free?

freedom come

God: has already set you free…..

John 8:38 (KJV) “If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed”.

As a believer or one who has a relationship with Jesus, we all tend to be shaky at times; we hope that we get it right all the time, but unfortunately this is not the case and every now and again we slip up.

When this happens, it can make for some tricky behavior for we tend to beat ourselves up something awful. After we finish the beating, then we attack ourselves some more and two things can happen: we can start putting a distance between ourselves and the body of Christ and end up in a backsliding state.

We can also start doubting the work of Jesus in our lives; what He accomplished on the cross is the greatest gift that anyone can ever give for another, yet when we are in our moments of weakness that doubt can place a distance between what He has already accomplished on the cross and what we have received.

The writer makes a bold statement: IF the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed. So that begs the question to anyone who is suffering under the impression that they can’t make the cut with this relationship; did Christ make you free indeed?

New trivia: a king fasted for one of God’s beloved sons; who are these two individuals?

  1. The True Light! says:

“If we walk in the Light, as He is in the Light, we shall have fellowship…and the blood of Jesus cleanses us from all sin.” There is no condemnation for those who walk with the Lord, we are free!

  2. A righteous man may fall seven times. But thank God for the Cross, “let the weak say I am strong.” There is no condemnation to those who continue to walk after the Spirit. Thank you VW 🙂
