God: is the only one to be feared….
Luke 12:5 (KJV) “And I say unto you my friends be not afraid of them that kill the body, and after that have no more that they can do. But I will forewarn you whom ye shall fear: Fear Him which after he hath killed hath power to cast into hell: yea, I say unto you, Fear Him”.
We come into contact on a daily basis many people who are under the power of curses and in the physical it can be manifesting itself in a variety of weird, odd, peculiar manner which causes folks to wonder and be in amazement at this behavior.
As believers we have power in our tongues and we ought to use it to bless and not curse or bring about hindrances to the lives of others: this is not good behavior. I understand from listening to the words of a beloved Pastor who always cautioned the flock to cease from speaking anything at all if what will proceed out of your mouth will cause ill or damage to someone.
I write these words not to bring about fear or consternation within anyone, but awareness that if we say we are believers, then the Spirit of God ought to be living and abiding within us; He needs a habitable place to abode. But to gear into our reading today; many attempt to use their mouths to bring about fear in others, proclaiming to have superior powers at their disposals.
But we know already, that anyone professing to have the power to cause harm to others is already fighting a losing battle. Scripture tells us that “the battle belongs to the Lord” and last time I looked, His power was the manifest power in the believers life.
Many folks will utilize their contrivances to cripple a person’s mind with fear, but Jesus the author and finisher of my faith is saying that these powers will be and we ought NOT to fear them, instead ready yourself for the fight of your life if you know that when you die, the next place you will be visiting is a place where other believers won’t be.
Prepare your mind if Jesus is not the Lord of your life to know that there will be a separation on the day when He comes to call this world for His own; when the things He has gone to prepare for those who are called His own come into fruition.
My take is, if Jesus has said it, then there is no alternative but to believe: they will bring about harm to your body, but fear them not. After they kill your body, there is no harm left for them to wreak on you; the spirit is gone: Fear God who has redeemed you for His own.
