God: has a way of putting the right people together…
Daniel 6:16 (KJV) “Then the king commanded, and they brought Daniel, and cast him into the den of lions. Now the king spake and said unto Daniel, Thy God whom thou servest continually will deliver thee”.
I have always been intrigued by the book of Daniel and the experiences that are shared as he and the three other Hebrews named went through slavery and came out on top. But this particular story of how he was baited and entrap shows how important to know that your enemy can be right before your face without you knowing. And we know that all things work together for good for them that are called of God”
It also shows the demonstration of one man’s faith in God even though his knowledge of God was from observation of Daniel’s worship and praise (his witness). Daniel stayed steadfast although the host of men had ganged up and conspired to let him lose his life; but King Darius proves to be a man of high character, trust and faith whose eyes was not blinded by ego or false self esteem.
He recognized the true and living God and was not willing to take away the glory that Daniel so willingly and freely bestowed upon Him; he might have been blindsided by the ambush and ensnarement for Daniel by false adoration to him, but it was a ploy which didn’t last long.
One other major character trait in King Darius was knowledge that God specializes in the impossible especially when it came to negating evil; he knew the intrinsic goodness of God and what He stood for in covering the innocent and those who calls upon Him.
With all this in mind and before you, can I ask you what your faith meter looks like today? Do you believe the impossible is possible and do you speak it into being and see the manifestation before your eyes? Do you go that one step further and beseech God to do that which He has already promised in His word and do you stand upon it?
Which scripture are you standing on in faith believing that God will honor that which He has already set into motion before there was time? Do you speak and declare because you believe?
Don’t get me wrong: I am doing what I am writing and asking you even as you read. I speak because I believe.
