Direct key to freedom….

God: made a way for us before the reaches of time…

Psalm 25:7-8 (KJV) “Remember not the sins of my youth, nor my transgressions: according to thy mercy remember thou me for thy goodness’ sake, O Lord. Good and upright is the Lord: therefore will he teach sinners in the way”.

If the adversary of our souls had his way, we would go through life believing all the days of our lives that we are less than nothing and can account for nothing; he will have us thinking that where we are in life is where we ought to be for eternity; he will trick our minds into believing that the bad habits of our past should follow us into our adulthood and all the days of our lives.

The really bad thing about this projection into our lives is that we get comfortable to this thinking and these subtle attacks on our minds and we don’t get beyond thinking anything else, so our lives stay the same.

But the good news came with Jesus and the one thing He guaranteed with His death is that freedom is within our grasp. If you only know one thing about your life as a believer in Christ from this point going forth is that your past life cannot hold you hostage if you know and are covered under the blood of Jesus.

The psalmist knew this even before the death of Christ as he beseeches God, “remember not the sins of my youth, nor my transgressions: according to thy mercy remember thou me for thy goodness’ sake, O Lord”. Before the unfolding of the events of Jesus death, it was established on the mind of believers that connection, belief and talking to God will dissect the afflictions of our soul.

Believer let not the things of your past which is holding you captive enslave your future; our Father which art in heaven has put in place the things to release us from the lies of the adversary. Seek your freedom now and remember that it is by grace we are saved.
