The pain and discomfort pays off…

God: He hears; He’s waiting; He will bring it to pass….

Daniel 10:9-11 (KJV) “Yet heard I the voice of his words: and when I heard the voice of his words, then was I in a deep sleep on my face, and my face toward the ground. And, behold, a hand touched me, which set me upon my knees and upon the palms of my hands. And he said unto me, O Daniel, a man greatly beloved, understand the words that I speak unto thee, and stand upright: for unto thee am I now sent. And when he had spoken this word unto me, I stood trembling”.

At times we tend to get despondent in our spiritual life; thinking that our prayers aren’t being answered and that maybe we are praying out of the will of God. It might be that our prayers for a single most important thing has not manifested, yet we get a confirmation in our spirit that which we have requested is in the will of God, yet the thing does not appear.

Take a walk through the Old Testament book of Daniel who was a man of God who delighted in praying and seeking the face of God at least three times daily as mentioned in the Holy Word. He gives us a powerful example on how to conduct our lives prayerfully and receive the blessings and benefits from God as we go.

Daniel got into the scrolls and discovered certain promises were missing from the manifestation of prophetic declarations appointed for his timeframe; so he did what anyone with a relationship with God will do: he commenced fasting to enter that deeper realm and get answers from God.

If you observe carefully, in the process of this journey, certain things are happening; he gets a heavenly visitation with direct and current updates on the situation; he experiences severe bodily discomforts which are part and parcel of abstaining from food for the length of period and he got powerful revelation on the will of God. The most marvelous piece of evidence in all this is the message that his prayers had been answered from day one, but the response was delayed because of spiritual and demonic interference.

Beloved if this is happening to the man of God, loved and favored by God, it can and is surely happening to you when you prepare to seek the face of God for anything. As we go more into detail keep in mind that when you are praying the right prayers the answers might get delayed, but the prayers need to keep coming.

Your prayers just might be what are needed to give your heavenly messenger the breakthrough to get a response to you. It might feel as if all hell is breaking out in your life, but pray still and keep on pushing until something powerful happens in the spiritual realm.

If it happened for Daniel, it shall surely happen to you. Keep pressing.

  2. Love this….a powerful teaching on effective prayer….such a blessing! if Daniel a man loved and favored by God got hindered by demonic forces, why should we expect less. Thanks for the beautiful insights shared! Bless you Sis 🙂
