God: call on Him day and night…
Daniel 9:3-4 (KJV) “And I set my face unto the Lord God, to seek by prayer and supplications, with fasting, and sackcloth, and ashes: And I prayed unto the Lord my God, and made my confession, and said, O Lord, the great and dreadful God, keeping the covenant and mercy to them that love him, and to them that keep his commandments.”
Prayer is an integral part of a believer’s life and without it we just place ourselves as a target for the adversary to shoot whatever darts He has available into our sphere of influence and operation, causing havoc and disarray in our lives.
It is easier to fight against the waves before they arrive than to try to get rid of the water when the wave crashes to shore. Such is our spiritual life, in prayers and meditation, one of the benefits is getting warning signals and direction from God about impending doom in the natural realm.
If the believer is not praying nor have a constant communication going with God, they will miss out on these needed cues.
In our reading today, this man of God was favored and was showed a deeper dimension in the spiritual realm because of his faithfulness and dedication in praying and seeking answers from God; not only for himself, but for his people as well.
He cleansed himself and got rid of the dross in his life and entered into the realm of the intercessor as he repented of the sins of his people before God as well. God honored his prayers and gave him an experience which have transcended time and space.
Beloved, this can be your story as well, set aside specific times in the day and night to dialogue with God, reach out to Him, seek Him on your own behalf and on the behalf of those in need; talk to him about your country, your city, your individual and extended families.
Let the blood of Jesus be poured out on the walls of your cities by your prayers and pleading; take authority on the situations which needs to be dealt with in your nations and let the forces bringing oppression against you know that “your redeemer still lives”. Start out with a soft voice and allow the Spirit of God to take it to a deep roar.
Don’t hold your peace until heaven responds with angelic reinforcement to the calamity and plight which you are going through. Keep not silence my people. God have demonstrated that He answers prayers when His people call on Him.
Why do you wait?
