God: lays it all on the table….
Joshua 24:15 (KJV) “15 And if it seem evil unto you to serve the Lord, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord”.
As we go through life one thing is very evident and that is the option of choices; in everything we do there is a chance to make a decision and choose differing paths for the things we want to accomplish.
One thing that is plain in our walk as believers is that God honors the sanctity of choices and gives us the freewill in choosing the path in which we ought to go. The paths might not be correct, but it is a choice we make; the path might be narrow and heading in the right direction and God will also honor, work with and reward that choice.
Whatever choice we make, it will bring about the results we are seeking and some not so expected, but ultimately we live with the choices or the end results of the choice; it is the desire of God that we make healthy and wise decisions in our lives that will draw us closer to His will for us.
One of the major choices that He would rather we choose is to serve Him as Lord and Savior of our lives; and many of us seek to have our own experiences, but this is an urging where what He states is accurate in all its extremities. We have the examples from our parents and those who went before us to look at, but again “choices”; choose the path, but as God said to Moses, “choose life”.
Beloved, many things might affect your life, but keep your eyes on the prize and on the ending of the thing rather than the noise of the moment.
