Christ brought Inclusion….

out of the loop

God:  made a plan to include us all if we will....

Deuteronomy 23:2 (KJV) “A bastard shall not enter into the congregation of the Lord; even to his tenth generation shall he not enter into the congregation of the Lord.

To the one who have been denied certain privileges in life, a gift or an open door to receive such entities is viewed as a great benefit and will tend to be appreciated greatly by the one denied prior benefits.

At certain in our lives as we go through the trials and tribulation which is part and parcel of this walk we have chosen to undergo, we tend to be in disdain for the intricate process. Sometimes we downright dislike having to go through anything which might discomfort us. Yet we are told to “take up your cross and follow Christ”.

But I digress; consider the reading for today which is an extract from instructions given to the Israelites as they undergo their journey. When they came to worship God at the appointed place and time, anyone being a “bastard” was not allowed to enter the congregation of the Lord.

This is totally amazing as we get an insight into one of the attributes of God; He desires the best of everything especially when it pertains to being in His presence. But as I mentioned in the 2nd paragraph above, the denial of a privilege allows ultimate receipt of the gift that much more precious.

Thank God for Jesus, who took away this barrier and allows us the opportunity to “come boldly to the throne of grace” despite what ailments we suffer.  I can honestly say that I appreciate the sacrifice that was made and the tools which have been put into place to allow me grace in this dispensation.

New Trivia: She gave him milk then killed him. Who is this?

Your post is very good. I thought that you might appreciate the New Living Translation words:
