Purity from a different perspective…

purity

God: His ways are not our ways; His thoughts are not our thoughts…

Psalm 24:4-5 (KJV) “He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully. He shall receive the blessing from the Lord, and righteousness from the God of his salvation.”

No matter where you are reading in the scriptures, from start to finish, there is a proclivity for rewarding good and punishment for those practicing evil or bad deeds.

God is drawn and appreciative of those who are known for doing well and it is exemplified in the people He favors; however, God ways are not our ways and His thoughts are not our thoughts, therefore we will get a different result when we look at a person than God will, for He sees the entire picture. These words of King David in the reading today as he invites the presence of God is such an example of the qualities one ought to ascribe to in this practice.

A person ought to have clean hands, pure heart and not be into the activities or behavior of pride and vanities etc. are the type of behavior which is attractive to God at all time.

What about you? Do these qualities exude from your being and are they part of your make up? We all have times when we walk contrary to the expected, but that ought not to be a continuous behavior and a measuring stick for our behaviors. Trying to abide in the status quo with the assistance of the Spirit of God is the goal we ought to strive towards.

Beloved in all you do, let the love of God prompt you in how you deal with individuals and with yourself in this gentle walk we are in.

Your post is very good. Consider 1 Thes 5:23, as it relates to the salvation of our spirit, soul, and body. Please stay in prayer. God is using you mightily.

VW – prompted a thought. There are a lot of bible folk who lived their lives with very clean hands, and very clean cups and exuded a very clean appearance. God Jesus saw the entire picture. God Jesus way of seeing the whole picture not often as “they” expected.

I wonder if the contrary times are necessary. To Him and me.

I do believe we all need to go through the winepress if we are to be used of God. If you aren’t tested how can you know what you are capable of when the hard times come? Jeremiah talks of the footmen and horsemen trial and it is absolutely bang on. vw
