Great expectations…

union

God: established a greater foundation; looked on the man and made a helpmate...

Ecclesiastes 4:9-10(KJV) “Two are better than one; because they have a good reward for their labour. For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow: but woe to him that is alone when he falleth; for he hath not another to help him up”.

You ever get to that place of thinking about why certain things are done and the rationale of what brings them to fruition? I get to thinking at times, how and why does certain methods and operations and pieces are done and the basis.

Yes I know, this is pretty complicated for this time of day; but I am getting into some of the words of King Solomon who is said to have been the wisest man on earth; this was a gift from God as he started out his ministry as the King of Israel.

After many years of living, doing and observing, he wrote about his observations and experiences; and in this instance, he is giving advice about the dilemma of the single person.  It might be tempting to indulge into that single lifestyle and be accountable to yourself only, but one thing that is important is support and companionship.

Nobody is saying that a life of being alone is not good, and some of us are called for that type of living, but what the Preacher is saying is if and when you decide to do such a thing, know that a time will come when your support system be non effective. A time will arrive when you will need to have that person do things and be there for you and it won’t be evident.

I’m not talking about the inclusive lifestyle that is non-biblical which today, many in society profess is the “in thing”; but what pleases God and what he requires for us. Many think it is difficult, yet in practice it is not.

So King Solomon points out the disadvantages of selecting this life of being alone and if you can deal with it, go for it with the knowledge that God will make full use of your sacrifice and desire. But in the alternative, he suggests that the support and benefits which companionship offers is something to be experience and achieved by those who are without such experiences in their lives.

My prayer for those without the benefits of a suitable and God-given companion is that the grace of God may fully fall on you to take you into a blessed union.

New Trivia: This prophet was quoted by Jesus as He established His ministry in the tabernacle; who is it?

Relationship. In my case when I truly found my physical and earthly, then I truly found my spiritual and eternal. No one comes to the Father …
