Let the waters be still….

the crossing

God: will roll the waters back; will freeze the onslaught in your life.

Joshua 3:13 (KJV) “And it shall come to pass, as soon as the soles of the feet of the priests that bear the ark of the Lord, the Lord of all the earth, shall rest in the waters of Jordan, that the waters of Jordan shall be cut off from the waters that come down from above; and they shall stand upon an heap”.

In our interactions with our children, we give them instructions and certain actions are required in compliance with your leadership in their lives and as a result you do certain things when they demonstrate ability to understand and follow through on directions.

As we go through the scriptures, we see this same example demonstrated by God and at times through His selected leaders as they provide guidance to the Israelites. In this case we see a big break through about to come to pass for them and certain instructions are given and they needed to do them as was given to them by Joshua, who was now the elected mouth piece of God.

Do these actions and watch as that thing you do activate the greater action by God: let the priests place the soles of their feet in the waters of Jordan river is the action; the effect of that is the waters will respond immediately to preordained instructions given by God and cease to flow.

Outstanding cause and effect, but we see that it all comes together as a result of desire, obedience and action. Can this be the case in our lives today for effective demonstration of results in our own lives? I believe it is the case and we most likely are not aware of it or just choose to abide in the little sufficiency. God grants us blessings as His children, but what if He is asking us to do more to effectuate greater blessings in our lives, and we are missing out on those because we miss the cues and don’t follow through?

Each of us has to be persuaded in our minds that we are in compliance fully with God and that the instructions we are following is complete to bring about that expected end result.

Beloved if you had the chance to gain more that is beneficial to you versus settling for less, would you accept the lesser blessing or strive for the greater? You have to know your mind and your expectations; you have to do the needful to get what is promised to you. Only you…

New Trivia: This prophet was quoted by Jesus as He established His ministry in the tabernacle; who is it?
