Whatever is happening…call…

Call on God

God: available 24/7; on the clock always; hears even a whisper….

Joel 2:32 (KJV) And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be delivered: for in mount Zion and in Jerusalem shall be deliverance, as the Lord hath said, and in the remnant whom the Lord shall call.

Today when you look at the catastrophe and disasters which are ever present and becoming a persistent occurrence in our way of living it can be said that the world is a cosmic accident getting ready to implode upon itself.

You just aren’t sure if it’s going to happen to you, the neighbor, the village you live in or the skies above your head; disaster is happening all around us and we can’t be casual about our lives neither our spirituality. I would be wary of that individual who sees and observe the high level of debacle we experience today and not think of their future.

It’s neither acceptable nor feasible to live a casual lifestyle with the mindset, we live, we enjoy, and we die; that my friend is preposterous and the height of irresponsibility. Unfortunately, many of us have that concept about life and it is just a procedure we go through, which is pretty sad.

God planted something within us when we were born and it is called faith and hope; He also gave us several promises which many of us will never experience while we are alive, but that’s where the faith comes in, because it is futuristic. It is something that is just before your face as a wall, “in hope of eternal life, which God, who cannot lie, promised before the ages began” (Titus 1:2 KJV). Life eternal is a promise which the patriarchs: Abraham, Isaac, Joseph understood and looked forward; we who are the seed of Abraham ought to know our heritage and live as if we know we have that same promise.

Beloved, there is no need to live a careless life as if there isn’t a hope for our future; as if there isn’t any future, God promised us through His prophet Joel that, “and it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be delivered” (Joel 2:32a). When we see the destruction coming our way, let the Word of God do something, within us and be activated, for we have to DO something which is call on God and He will appear; but first you got to know God, right?

Live a hope(ful) life; after all, “for all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us” (2 Corinthians 1:20 KJV).

Trivia: He pulled out his hair, threw himself on the ground and refrained from eating because of sin; who is this?

    Thanks for reminding us this:
“God: available 24/7; on the clock always; hears even a whisper….”
So glad He is omnipotent (all-powerful), omnipresent (in all places at the same time), and omniscient (He knows everything).

and I have to share a fun story. My son used to love the Newsboys, and in one of their songs, Entertaining Angels, they remind us that God watches us 24 – 7 – but my son thought it was 24 seconds – and insisted it was. Ha! so this led to a fun talk on the ever watchful Lord we have

    “24-7, you wait for me
    Entertaining angels
By the time I fall to my knees
Host of heaven, sing over me”

What's your thought on this?
