God: praiseworthy; deserving high honor; impeccable character.
Hebrews 3:11 “So I sware in my wrath, They shall not enter into my rest.”
I was reflecting on this verse and I got to thinking; I am awfully appreciative of the gift of Christ as a sacrificial lamb on my part and for all humanity. Imagine being at the whim of the wrath of God because of where I was born, what I looked like and especially if I in my sinful state did some egregious act which would cause Him to eradicate my life in one swoop fell.
In the OT, when the wrath of God reached its peak and the almighty was caused to swear against a people, a nation, an area it was not likely to end in graciousness.
Total nations were annihilated, but thank God now the blood of Jesus covers us, covers me from my sinful nature; but I am thankful that His grace affords me the restraining power to not want to sin against Him because I am acknowledging the sacrifice and appreciative of the relationship.
Thank God for being relational; for offering a more doable choice to us His broken vessels which His blood heals and put back to a complete set. This is an adorable and enticing method of letting me know how much He cares for me.
Just want to say, thank you Father.
