Bondage will rob you of your gift

Strength in weakness

God: bondage breaker; deliverer from yokes and chains; Savior

Exodus 6:9 “And Moses spake so unto the children of Israel: but they hearkened not unto Moses for anguish of spirit, and for cruel bondage”.

Did you know that apart from the word of God, He actually gives us instructions and pointers on how to live our lives on a regular basis in different ways? At times you hear many folks complain, but God doesn’t talk to me, I can’t hear Him. Hmmmm.

What shall a man do when He can’t hear from His maker? That is a bit bothersome especially for the born again believer; we need to hear from God. Jesus said on His followers knowing Him, “for they know his voice.  And a stranger will they not follow, but will flee from him” (John 10:4-5); meaning if an impostor tries to usurp God’s place in our lives, we have permission to take off running (remember Joseph and Potiphar’s wife).

At times it’s not acceptable to blame or judge someone who isn’t able to or haven’t grown to the point where they communicate freely with God; as we see in the passage mentioned, although Moses who was sent to lead them out of bondage spoke exactly what God said in reassurance: “hey listen to me, your time of bondage is up; God is working on your behalf; you are about to go into the promise land”. He might as well been speaking a foreign language because these folk’s spirit had been crushed by years of abuse and bondage.

What’s the reason? Because of “anguish of spirit and for cruel bondage”; there we have it, when the adversary has someone in bondage; they haven’t received the freedom which have been promised by Jesus. What to do? Deliverance is the key.

Seek it as hard as possible, because Jesus said if you don’t hear Him, you don’t belong to Him. Gosh my prayer today: Father I beg that you send deliverance to those who are in bondage; please send it quickly God in Jesus’s name.

Trivia: He relinquished his destiny for a meal; who is this?
