God: doesn’t stutter; is clear in instructing us; communicates with us
Isaiah 44:26 (KJV) That confirmeth the word of his servant, and performeth the counsel of his messengers; that saith to Jerusalem, Thou shalt be inhabited; and to the cities of Judah, Ye shall be built, and I will raise up the decayed places thereof:
Some of us as believers have different gifting according to the Apostle Paul in 1 Corinthians 12, yet all sponsored by the same spirit which is the Spirit of God. Some of us are comfortable and have a deeper understanding on trusting God to accomplish what is required of us as He directs us to perform that which He requires.
Additionally, in the alternate some of us are very hesitant and sometimes very cautious in bending to the will of God; don’t get me wrong, there is nothing wrong with questioning and testing the source of a message or directions which you receive and scripture encourages us to do so.
But in our reading today we see that in His promises to those whom He has called and have entrusted with delivery of His word and direction, the Almighty is assuring that when He sends a message by His servants the prophets, He will confirm the word.
Confirmation comes in various forms and it might not be the outstanding and grandiose method we are looking for such as a big banner flying in the sky or a line message floating across the television screen (although God cannot be limited), but sometimes you get a message from someone and you are hesitant and pray about it; then you head into your car and there goes someone talking about what you needed to hear.
You get to your job and as soon as you power on the computer radio, you hear the same line being repeated. You just might think something is wrong is not for the fact that you know that the Spirit of God works in mysterious ways and you just this morning asked for confirmation.
Is anybody getting a spiral of a tingle up their spine right about now? Yes that’s what He means when He says a confirmation will be done on His Word with many other variations too many to place into this short posting. He also goes ahead to indicate that in His authority as Supreme God if He wants someone to be President of a country it will be so and if not then it will not be. If He wants this country to be yay big, it will be so and no in the alternate; if He wants you to be prosperous, no matter how much you run from money you will always have an overflow you just have that anointing on you and in the alternate don’t complain too hard if you are cash strapped.
What it breaks down to is that: God is saying I have the final say on what will happen: I like it when God exercised His authority because you just have to look and shake your head in awe because of His Godliness. I am humbled to have learned to whisper, beg a little, rationalize and in the end hang my head and say, “if it your will”. And remind Him that he promises “no good thing will He withhold from me”. Then get to trusting Him for the manifestation of those good things in His time.
My God is so amazing I am left shaking my head in awe at times.
Trivia: He had no shame in letting loose with tears as he was overcome with emotions. Who is this?
