God: happiness, gladness, joy, rejoicing
Philippians 4:4 (KJV) “Rejoice in the Lord always: and again I say, Rejoice”.
The word “rejoice” means feel or show great joy or delight and somehow this verse of scripture just keeps going over repeatedly in my head.
When you consider the range of feelings you experience on a daily basis you understand that at some point you have to stop and be glad in the presence of the Lord; it might be trying times for you, or there might be periods of sadness, sorrow or even affliction going on in your life, but a sense of acknowledgement to God in your presence can just about change around situations; invoke a little joy just because He gave you life, feelings, He gave you YOU.
You might be saying, “yea right”, she has no idea what I deal with in my life; but emotions and events aren’t limited to one individual and although the first thing when someone tries to empathize or sympathize with you comes at your mind is whether that person have gone through what you did to say “I feel your pain”.
The great thing about us as humans is that we all have gone through something, but what dictates or makes us a survivor is how we choose to come through.
My friend, I might not have gone through exactly what you did, but still today, I want you to consider the word “rejoice” and consider that tomorrow the sun will shine in your life.
Choose to believe that the sun will shine.
