God:will take me the distance; holds my hand;is leading me
Philippians 3:13, 14 (KJV) “Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus”.
As we go through life we make goals; there are targets we set to accomplish and things we most definitely want to do before we depart this life. Likewise, as we move from one stage to the next in this relationship with Christ there is also a set destination for us, which is a promise from God Himself.
There is a problem when we set our eyes and our goals in accomplishing that which does not complement our destiny or have no bearing on what we do in this life or the one to come. That doesn’t mean that after the fact, we have to dwell on these situations, but the goal now is moving forward.
Accomplish that which cannot be gained with mere mortal effort; situate yourself by faith into place so that prize will be yours. Allow no one to gain what belongs to you and make sure that if there is a prize to be won at the end of the race, you would not just have run in vain, but would have run to accomplish the prize.
Beloved, ask yourself: if anyone can win the prize, why not me?
