God: forward thinking; knows the end of a situation already; he has the blueprint
Ruth 1:20,21 (KJV) “And she said unto them, Call me not Naomi, call me Mara: for the Almighty hath dealt very bitterly with me. I went out full and the Lord hath brought me home again empty: why then call ye me Naomi, seeing the Lord hath testified against me, and the Almighty hath afflicted me?”
I know I have been in this position many times: you feel mad, angry, and crazy; almost to the point where you want to destroy something because all you have or think you have, have been destroyed. Have you ever been there? And you turn against the one person who has your back: the man called Jesus.
You refrain from praying, you think all sorts of bad things, you flat out refuse to believe He exists and build a good case of “if”. If you were God, then this would not happen; If you truly loved me then you would have prevented this from happening, and if, and if, and if.
We’ve all been in Naomi’s shoes at some point in our lives and we have had to deal with bitter, trying things in our lives. Don’t let it be said of you that you turned your back on the one true friend you will ever have in this life.
I know the temptation is strong to let loose and sock someone, but let Him be the one you cry out to for help instead of getting mad at in a histrionic fit.
Look at Naomi’s situation, she left out rejoicing after a while; yes dear, after a while it will get better, after a while you will sing a different song; after a while it will not be so bad; after a while you will not be in that place. After a while.
Trivia: In speaking to God, he told God that He was perfect before him: who is this person?
dont ever give up…..he promise NEVER to leave you nor forsake you….I have been there…still rocking it with my best friend….Remember Job? He lost everything….in the end he gained much more….I am in this with you….be strong girl…..we will make it with GOD’S help. Be bless.
TGBTG…
Would this happen to be Abram we’re talking about here? I’m a bit confused because I thought God told Abram to be thou perfect, not that he told God he is perfect before Him. Please guide me in the right direction here. I absolutely love these trivia questions VW, I don’t know why I didn’t notice them before. They are a good tool to keep me brushed up, studied up and on my spiritual toes ;=) Thanks for sharing.
Be Blessed!
