Reality confronts us at some point…

God: innovator, creative, unique, fair.

Matthew 9:17 (KJV) “Neither do men put new wine into old bottles: else the bottles break, and the wine runneth out, and the bottles perish: but they put new wine into new bottles, and both are preserved”.

The statement I am writing could be in the reverse, but that is somehow rare in comparison to the alternate. Do  you remember when you were younger (than you were now, lol) and the clothing you had were a snap fit, everything looked good from top to bottom and yeah you thought you looked hot.

Fast forward to sometime in 2013-14 and you are trying on some of those adorable looking clothing from way back when; and they cannot fit anywhere near your body. I don’t care what you say, how many times you lay on the bed and squeeze that piece of clothing until it stretches, it should not be on your body. Face it, you have developed or matured or aged; whatever word makes you feel good you can place it into that slot.

It’s the same with the inspired word of God we are reading today: you most definitely cannot put new wine into old bottles; it will break, the wine will run out and you will waste the cash you just spent on that wine. Leaving you with a broken bottle; however when you analyze the size, proportion, material, content and match the right size to cover then everything falls into place and you have a right fit. It all looks right and fits right and feels right.

Preservation is what the scripture is instructing us about in a slightly parabolic method; but get it nevertheless, keep that which you have and hold unto it with all prudence and wisdom. Thank you Jesus for making me as wonderful as you did….

Trivia: In speaking to God, he told God that He was perfect before him: who is this person?
