John 17:9, 20 (KJV) “I pray for them: I pray not for the world, but for them which thou hast given me; for they are thine. Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word”.
The Word of God is a powerful blueprint of life, but there are specific passages and verses when you allow them to seep into your mind; creates a lasting imprint upon your brain and soul.
This is the case with the John 17 as read from the KJV; Jesus was in preparation for His departure from this world and like all good leaders and fathers, He bestowed blessings upon those that were close to Him and of the utmost importance. As He went into prayers, He covered various topics and dealt with challenges He faced while here on earth, but the power imparted in this prayer which was able to seal us to Him in a unique manner was His prayers for the disciples and for the believers who would come after.
Look deeply into what the Master was saying and you will recognize if you are a believer, that Jesus took the time to pronounce a blessing upon you. As you read this and if you are in doubt as to the veracity of your standing in the body of Christ, know that Jesus has prayed a pray which goes beyond boundaries, denomination, individual churches and selective fellowship.
Jesus the Son of God, while on earth and prior to coming into His passion declared a blessing upon you as long as you have heard and believed His word.
Beloved, if you doubt yourself in some manner as to belonging to the body of Christ, know that it is not a lie you need to believe from mortal man when Jesus has declared a thing into your future. Who will you trust today?
Trivia: He told a king NO and it cost him his life; who is this person?
