Daily Inspiration – Psalm 42:2,3(KJV) Give me Jesus or I die…

Psalm 42:2, 3 “My soul thirsteth for God, for the living God: when shall I come and appear before God? My tears have been my meat day and night, while they continually say unto me, where is thy God”?

In our human interactions and relationships there are times and moments which are undefined and can never be rationalized. Moments occur which leave us at times in tears; we are sad, happy, yearning for more, satisfied for a fleeting moment but needing more and on and on.  But when we are in relationship with God there are some aspect of duplication of our interactions, but it is not the same thing.

Going into the relationship His Word tells us “You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart” Jeremiah 29:13(KJV); so we know that to know and understand and be fulfilled in this relationship we need to seek Him intensely, stalk Him, get a high-speed binoculars and search deep and wide until both Him and you realize that you have a made up mind and a determination to get something from Him which is deeper and more intimate than is capable with what you have now in life. The lines are drawn and you will not give up until you find that which you are so earnestly seeking: The Heart of God.

I believe it is at this stage of desperation that the Psalmist talks about the hunger and thirsting one can develop in the middle of this search. Your heart and mind pumps with heated blood in anticipation that the hunt is on; you have a desire, a desperate need to come into contact with the Living Word. The Psalmist ascribe it to a thirsty “deer panting for water”; your very soul is searching and seeking and it won’t be satisfied until you get to that deeper place in God; until He shows up in His glory.  You tell yourself, “if He did it with Moses, He can do with me” and this encourages you not to give up.

The assurance you have is that there must be some communication which you cannot explain, because you know there has been an impartation from Him to you; you are unable to stop talking about HIM, thinking about HIM, asking those who appear more knowledgeable about HIM to expound on HIM. Yet there is no satisfaction in your spirit.

Ahhh, when will Him who you seeketh show Himself to you, speak longer and intimately with you; when will He fill that deep chasm of want within you that can only be satisfied with His presence. Yes beloved, my soul pants for the living Word, it seeks to be ministered by Him and Him alone.

As for me, childish things are no more, I need Jesus, I need more of Him, I will surely die if He does not show himself to me.

Jesus come in your glory; fill me with your love, fill me with your fire; FILL ME.

Trivia: Which three individuals did God approach and say, “let me talk to y’all for a minute, meet me outside”?

Ans to trivia: In whose mouth did God’s word become fire? A. Jeremiah (see Jeremiah 5:13 KJV).
