Daily Inspiration – Psalm 40-5(KJV) Look at how good God is to me…

Psalm 40:5 “Many, O Lord my God, are thy wonderful works which thou hast done, and thy thoughts which are to us-ward: they cannot be reckoned up in order unto thee: if I would declare and speak of them, they are more than can be numbered”.

When you listen to many people who are called believers, you get a sense that they don’t really have a deep understanding or the goodness of God; many talk about His goodness and grace toward them, but this at times could be seen to be surface and conditional.  The testimony haven’t really been tested, is what I am getting at with this statement.

We know that God allows His rain to fall on the just and unjust, so anyone being blessed is a token of God’s grace toward humanity.  To go further and find out why God is called “a good God” and it might be difficult to get a deep answer. If you ask for a demonstration of some of His attributes: this would be stretching it really far because you might cause a state of confusion in the mind of someone.

Our expectation in our human relationships when they are of some importance to us is that people know us and recognize the deep aspects of our character so that we don’t become confused with someone else.  It isn’t too hard then to ask that the proper respect be granted to our God who indicates and demonstrates a love which is without conditions and daily presents us with the tangible evidence to back it up.

If you found someone who treated you half as good as God does, would you not hold unto and treasure that person. I would.

Get to know God and His attributes and you just might find that you have found the best relationship you ever have in this world.
