Mark 4:39:41 “And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm. And he said unto them, Why are ye so fearful? how is it that ye have no faith? And they feared exceedingly, and said one to another, What manner of man is this, that even the wind and the sea obey him?”
In this life, many storms will arise but the measure of a person is how they go through the storm or even if they allow the storm to wash over them and send them rolling in muddy waters or murky seas. The same spirit which is Christ Jesus is the same spirit which inhabits us as believers and as such, Jesus gave a decree and provided a sanction to all believers that everything that He was doing when He walked this earth is ours to do in greater measure, henceforth, “Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father” (John 14:12 KJV).
I have to look at my credentials as a believer then, because in this life, I was a former hell raiser and served Satan with much verve and desire; now that I am on the serving Christ, it heats my blood to be creative in serving God and when I read that He prayed for me (John 17) and gave me the unction to be as crazy for Him as I want to; I have to ask myself, what is causing the blockage in my life.
Jesus lay in a boat sleeping and was shook awake by some hysterical disciples who had decided to follow Him, screaming that, ‘we going to die”. Calm as could be He rises up, look the storm in the eye and in our language of today, pretty much told it, “go sit down in a corner” and that was that with the storm, peace was restored. As a believer, it behooves me to look at my life challenges and go under the blood of Jesus and command them to go somewhere. According to the decrees and sanction in the Word of God, they have an obligation to obey my command.
I challenge you believers who know that you are in good standing with Jesus to walk into that storm and command them to “be still in Jesus name”. The host of heaven will stand in amazement, but they just might be shocked at your audacity and respond in your favor.
