Psalm 75:4-7 “I said unto the fools, Deal not foolishly: and to the wicked, Lift not up the horn: Lift not up your horn on high: speak not with a stiff neck. For promotion cometh neither from the east, nor from the west, nor from the south. But God is the judge: he putteth down one, and setteth up another”.
Sometimes in life we get to a stage or a point where we had never really expected to ever accomplish in our lives, but for the grace of God upon our lives. He pours out an anointing and blessing which makes even the people who knew you as a young person to look upon you in wonder and try to figure out what caused it.
You got promoted into a job of high esteem and that house in the neighborhood where the neighbors are of high prominence; you don’t understand how you got so lucky, but sometimes some of us allow this undeserved favor to trigger an ego which is inflated beyond what we can handle or what the world will tolerate.
Beloved, when God sees it fit to promote you to excellency, allow His grace to rest comfortably upon your shoulders; don’t let your ego rise out of control and undermine the longevity of your blessings. If you have to speak sternly to yourself daily to keep up a humble covering, do so.
Let the favor of God reside upon you today.
Trivia: This dude is a riot; he told God, “you tricked me: you are only winning this fight because you are bigger than I am”.
