Psalm 32:5,6 “I acknowledge my sin unto thee, and mine iniquity have I not hid. I said, I will confess my transgressions unto the Lord; and thou forgavest the iniquity of my sin. Selah. For this shall every one that is godly pray unto thee in a time when thou mayest be found”.
Sometimes because of the fear of judgment we do things which are awful; it might be unintentional, or it might have happened through extreme pressure from those close to you, who speak to your heart; nevertheless, it ends in a bad situation with your face coming up as the doer of bad deeds and your soul having to be answerable to God.
In all this, we might tend to be of the mindset that it’s fine, “I’ll just be quiet and let it run its course”. Ok, that’s from a human perspective, but have you dealt with the spiritual ramifications and I beg to differ here, but this is that more important than the physical.
It is more important to get your soul right before God, first and foremost; seek His forgiveness in all transgression, even if you have to shout out, “I am a despicable, miserable and wretched, wicked person: Save me from myself Lord”. He knows where it’s coming from and you get to wipe the slate clean and move on, maintain a white gown.
Don’t allow the sin stain to become ingrained upon your system, clogging up your spiritual flow; deal with it immediately. God gives us new mercies each day, nothing left over to rot. Go to Him daily with a fresh revelation of His goodness and see fresh breath being breathed into your life.
God is faithful like that: new mercies each day.
Trivia: This dude is a riot; he told God, “you tricked me: you are only winning this fight because you are bigger than I am”.
