Psalm 127:1,2 “Except the Lord build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the Lord keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain. It is vain for you to rise up early, to sit up late, to eat the bread of sorrows: for so he giveth his beloved sleep”.
How long have you been attempting to accomplish certain things in life, yet you cannot attain to the level within which you have set a goal for yourself? You’ve broken the goals from long to short to mini; yet you cannot obtain the final outcome.
The sense of pride you wish to feel in a job well done is missing as you plow, daily, monthly, yearly. You started out with an intention and have had to change and restructure it so many times, but the final outcome is missing. At times we are remiss in that we tell God what we are doing and place a demand on His blessing to get it done. It never gets done.
How about if we seek God about His will in a thing for a certain situation and WAIT? He will answer; the only problem is can you hold on until he responds? Many of us cannot.
But unless the Lord build the house, unless the Lord build the church, unless the Lord the funds for that project you have planned for so long you are laboring in vain. Seek God’s opinion.
